Peanut Butter & Jelly
This is easily a favorite of many, young and old. With so many ways to eat it, toppings to add to it and the undeniable touch of convenience, peanut butter and jelly sandwiches are easily one of the more common fan favorites when it comes to foods. This specific snack is incredibly harsh on teeth because of the combination of all three ingredients. While it’s going to be impossible to stay away from this convenient sandwich, monitoring how often you’re enjoying them is a step in the right direction.
It’s easy to convince ourselves that dried fruit is healthy; it’s fruit, so it has to be. The harsh reality behind this statement is that dried fruit is actually one of the more unhealthy snacks that does incredible damage to your teeth. When fruit are dried and packaged, there are tons of sugars added which completely strip dried fruit of any nutrients. Once you snack on them, the high amounts of sugar wind up on your teeth and break down the enamel, making you an easy target for a cavity.
